 Title: Software QA Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for validating software running on a low-latency, high-bandwidth pooled memory appliance.
  • Responsible for designing test infrastructure and test plans, executing test plans, documenting test results and product defects.
  • Responsible for automation and regression testing of platform and storage features using python and TCL/Expect.
  • Responsible for qualifying compatibility with Linux, Windows, VMWare ESXi and KVM.
  • Working on the customer issues by re-creating and debugging them.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering – CISE, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience as Software QA Engineer, MTS System/Test Validation Engineer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation required.

Required skills:

  • Python, TCL/Expect;
  • Automation and regression testing;
  • Fabric resiliency and Fabric Routing;
  • Re-creating and debugging customer issues;
  • Linux, Windows, KVM, VMWare ESXi;

Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duties:

  • Responsible for design and development of dataplane and memory management software in a low latency high bandwidth pooled memory appliance using C and C++, and systems programming.
  • Responsible for the development of data services software including but not limited to space optimized snapshots, volume cloning, replication and data de-duplication using storage virtualization technology.
  • Work with the CTO, product management and architects to crystallize new product requirements in the area of Data Services and File Systems.
  • Work cross-functionally with other organizations to understand the integration points and enhance overall use cases of the product using various application and system debugging tools.
  • Provide suggestions to management with respect to schedules/milestones and participate in technical discussions with customers and partners.
  • Write clear and articulate functional and design specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Software Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience as Principal Software Engineer, Senior Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Asst. Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation required.

The required 5 years of work experience must be in storage engineering using the following:

  •  C and C++;
  • Linux, AIX, Solaris & HPUX platforms;
  • Storage virtualization, and disaster recovery and replication;
  • SCSI  & iSCSI;
  • Data structure and Algorithm Design;
  • Application and system debugging; and
  • Network (TCP/UDP) and Systems programming.

Title:  Principal Software Engineer

  • Responsible for designing, developing and debugging various software components to manage the low latency, high bandwidth pooled flash memory appliance using C/C++ in an embedded OS environment.
  • Responsible for the development of chassis management and monitoring, firmware upgrades, housekeeping & discovery, faults & alerts.
  • Responsible for the implementation of High Availability solution including Non- disruptive software upgrade using ISSU.
  • Work with the CTO, product management and architects to crystallize new product requirements in the area of Systems Management.
  • Work cross-functionally with other organizations to understand the integration points and enhance overall manageability and deployment of the product using RESTful APIs.
  • Provide guidance to management with respect to schedules/milestones and participate in technical discussions with customers and partners related to MYSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and other database solutions.
  • Write clear and articulate functional and design specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience as Principal Software Engineer, Technical Leader, SMTS Software Development Engineer, Senior Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Module Lead, Software Development Engineer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with C/C++ in embedded OS and hyper-converged infrastructure projects;
  • Experience in system & node initialization, chassis power management, firmware upgrade, and ISSU;
  • Experience in database technologies MySQL, MongoDB and Cassandra;
  • Experience in storage technologies SATA, SAS and NVMe; and
  • Experience of L2 and L3 protocols Ethernet, IP, VLAN, LAG and LACP.
